FRIDAY, SEPT 26, 2002 - Hiatus interrupted

Today, Claire Zulkey flatters me with a taste of my own medicine: The Mike Choi Interview. I shamelessly stole the idea from her anyway. What a great way to find out what makes the people that you enjoy reading tick.

Anyhow, I'll be back on, or around, October 1. There are a limited number of climbing days between now and Old Man Winter. I'd like to grab a few before I pack it up for the season.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT 11, 2002 - Obligatory Comments

Today among the war mongers and self-righteously somber, I urge you to make a clear distinction between nationalism and patriotism. The latter will produce a more fruitful use of your time, without hatred. Many Americans seem to lack the ability to see beyond their own inane bumper stickers.

It's difficult for me not to get angry with those who are so tightly wound in their jingoistic vanity, forgetting that grieving families around the world mourn the loss of those two buildings.
