THURSDAY, ARPIL 29, 2004 - Get a grip

I was transcribing some notes and got over-zealous in my erasing. I sat there for a minute trying to remember what the undo command was when I realized I was holding a marker board.

Jackass.

MONDAY, APRRIL 26, 2004 - Whaaaaaaa... ta?

I drove to Providence, amused, as the two talked excitedly in the backseat about their engagements in that slightly self-righteous tone that the newly engaged take when they're talk about planning, and how it's going to be "different."

We all do that. But two dudes who were just tooling on each other's moms?

MONDAY, APRIL 19, 2004 - Equipment works as advertised

I took a twenty-five foot lead fall this weekend and scraped up my ankle pretty good, giving me the dubious honor of Nastiest Fall. Due dilligence dictates that, even if I feel differently, I should climb more conservatively for a while to regain both my confidence and chops.

I was totally relaxed on the fall and only got scared an hour later in the car ride home. I've always suspected that I could hold my composure in crisis, but it's weird now that I know it. This isn't something I'd planned on testing out.

Baby Jane Hall stops by for a visit.

THURSDAY, APRIL 8, 2004 - Seemingly Innocuous Words

"... because I wasn't raised that way."

"Per our (conversation, meeting, email exchange)..."

"What [nationality] are you?"

FRIDAY, APRIL 2, 2004 - The truth about giraffes

While driving today, I considered that what I believe is not necessarily Truth, but what I perceive as truth.

Considering my own existence, reincarnation seems like the best choice. If I came back as a giraffe, would I be aware of it?

I don't think I would. So there would be no alternate awareness, and therefore suffering because of it.

Since most people are hell-bound, including this hombre, you might consider jumping ship.

I'm just saying is all.

Through an unfortunate breakup, I've lost touch with this rabid Wilco fan.

Ro: I still have your U2 book.
